LOCATION:

All Bangamela 2015 events will be at the State of the Art Concert Hall of Center For the Arts (CFA) at the George Mason University. The Concert Hall, opened in 1990 is a technically adaptable venue. The Center for the Arts plays a key role in the cultural vitality of the Washington Metropolitan region, attracting more than 100,000 patrons each year to performances. Each year it houses operas, symphony orchestras, theatre productions, dance performances, cultural shows, and a much more.

  • 1935 Continental Seating with ample leg room (821 Orchestra level – including the pit area and 1112 seats in the Grand Tier/Balcony)
  • Adjustable music shell which can enhance the acoustical presence of an orchestra, chorus, soloist, or chamber ensemble
  • State of the art lighting and sound system including a projector and large video screen

DIRECTIONS FROM THE CAPITAL BELTWAY (I-495) Take exit 54A, Braddock Road West (Route 620).  Follow Braddock Road West for approximately six miles.

* After crossing over Roberts Road, take the 2nd right on Roanoke River Road.

DIRECTIONS FROM I-66 (from point west)

Exit at the Fairfax County Parkway South (Route 286 – Old Route 7100).  Exit the Parkway at Braddock Road, and turn left onto Braddock Road. * After crossing Route 123 (Ox Road) right on Roanoke River Road. 

DIRECTIONS FROM I-95 (NORTH OR SOUTH) From points north on I-95, take exit 27 (I-495 West), then follow the directions “from the Capital Beltway (I-495).”

From points south on I-95, take exit 160B (Route 123 North) at Lake Ridge/Occoquan. Follow Route 123 north for approximately 15 miles*.  Turn right onto Braddock Road. Turn left on Roanoke River Road.

PARKING:

FREE Parking for Bangamela 2015 attendees in Parking Lot “K” – this is paid for by Bangamela 2015. Walk through the ‘Cross Cottage’ to the CFA-Concert Hall on the other side of the pond (see details in the map below). Alternate paid parking is available at the Visitor’s parking deck adjacent to the CFA Concert Hall.
