Rare, indeed, is the genius and artistry of this man who has, for almost six decades, single handedly represented the pedagogical lineage of the great masters Murad Ali Khan, Abdullah Khan, Mohammad Ameer Khan and Radhika Mohan Maitra of the well known Sarod Gharana of Senia Shahjahanpur. It is for his incomparable sacrifices for music and the sarod, and for his soulful mastery of the instrument, that Buddhadev Das Gupta is recognized worldwide as one of the finest masters of the classical musical tradition of North India and have made him one of the best known cultural ambassadors of India .

A musical presentation by “Aahang’ from India depicting the creative genius of kazi Nazrul Islam.
Kazi Nazrul Islam ‘s oeuvre is vast and versatile but his genius has yet to be established fully in the psyche of the Bengalis. He has influenced the rebellious , emotional, passionate minds of Bengalis like no one before yet his creations are fast going into oblivion for lack of proper presentation to the young and the new global Bengalis.
In our effort to bring out the creative genius of the poet Aahang has curated “Srijano Chande” an hour long program where his versatile creations would be depicted through narration, songs, music and dance. Poetry and music share a history of complementing each other. “Srijano Chande” is an ensemble of this poetic relationship.
Aahang received lot of appreciation for their multimedia Ananya, Tagore’s Unparalleled Women, hosted by DHROOPAD in 2012.Video Link

An special attraction for Bangamela 2015 audience. Choreography and direction – Warda Rihab.
Tagore’s “Shyama” is an epic composition. “Shyama” is essentially a romantic tragedy, though there are two love stories intertwined: That of Shyama and Bajra Sen, who at first are both in search of their initial partners. Then there is the unexpressed, unrequited love that Uttiyo has for Shyama which leads Uttiyo to sacrifice himself for her happiness. Both romantic situations are likely to be painfully familiar to many.
