Registration for Bangamela 2015

 (ONLINE Registration Closes – July 20, 2015)

**There will be a surcharge for onsite registration**

The DHROOPAD – Bangamela 2015 committee invites you to experience a unique two-day Bengali Cultural Festival involving the Bengali Diaspora from across the borders. The culture, the music, the drama, the food, the renowned names and the aspiring faces, the epiphany of the east, and the glamour of the west will be brought together in an effort to relive and enrich ourselves, to guide the toddling feet of our younger generations and introduce them to this heady, warm, Tagoresque landscape of Bengali culture.

This year’s  Bangamela 2015 theme,  “আলোর পথযাত্রী– “Let There be Light”, celebrates a much needed journey to light.  Journeys are all around us – within the self and outside in the broader world. In a world where peace and violence are our cross roads, where nationality, race, religion and color divide and segregate our everyday world, we face a daily struggle of decisions. As the world struggles and reels under threats of sectarian violence and narrow selfish designs, not making a choice becomes a choice in itself. At Bangamela 2015 we come from various walks of life to pledge a pilgrimage together. A cultural pilgrimage that will lift this shroud of darkness and discord and will wash us clean in the warmth of light and clarity. A journey threaded with music and melody, celebrating the individual differences in harmony.

Dates:  Saturday 25 & Sunday 26 of July 2015
